You're a woman and you love to look great and part of looking great is having the right accessories which includes jewelry, shoes, and purses. Now wait! Before we start the judgment game about what's right or wrong. There are different types of designer knock offs. There are the illegal ones which are "exact" copies of the designer bag and break copyright laws and then there are styles that resemble but do not break any laws.

What else is wrong is when a site sells knock offs as originals. In fact that's more than wrong. That's fraud! In recent years this has been a big problem especially on some sites like eBay. If you are looking for a true designer bag, whether it's Louis Vuitton, Gucci, or another designer, make sure you get what you pay for. Here's how to spot a fake designer bag.

1. Fabric

Designer handbags use top of the line fabric that has no flaws. There will be no fake leather or fake skins. When you buy a designer bag you will always get 100% the real thing every time. If the purse is faux leather or made from an inferior fabric then it will most likely be a knock off.

2. Detailing

A designer bag will have extra stitching, wonderful detailing in the buckles and zippers such as a tiny diamond accent. Knock offs will have no diamond touches or nice detailing, the stitching will be basic and there will be nothing that stands it out from the rest unlike a designer bag which is unique and takes hours to make.

3. Labels

Most designer bags have a custom label or logo on their purses which is their mark of authenticity. You might find it on the zipper, embossed on the bag, or even inside the bag. Know that you are getting what you paid for. Knock offs won't have proper markings.

4. Follow Your Gut

Follow your instincts. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Designer bags don't magically fall in price to a fraction of their original price. If a designer purse usually sells for $1000 and you can buy it for $50 there's something not right. Follow your gut!

Listen To The Celebrities

If it's good enough to the celebrities it's real. Celebrities don't use fake bags so watch what they have in hand. By watching the celebrities you'll become very good at telling fake from real.

Norman Brown West Coast Coolin Smooth Jazz Music CD Review

The exceptionally talented Smooth Jazz artist Norman Brown has released him CD entitled West Coast Coolin'. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Norman Brown fans, and Smooth Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of West Coast Coolin' Norman Brown's artistic excellence is on full display as Brown has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be him best work to date.

These days it's a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.

West Coast Coolin' literally grabs your attention right out of the gate with I Might and doesn't let go until the very last note of the very last song Remember The Time, which is another great track by the way.

This CD has a nicely varied, mix of 10 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They're all here.

Norman Brown is one of those musicians that has the ability to just win you over with him talent. The kind of artist it's really a treat to be able to listen to.

I'm of the opinion that West Coast Coolin' is certainly Norman Brown's best work in a few years. A totally enjoyable CD and an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up because it's a collection that even the casual Smooth Jazz fan can appreciate and enjoy.

While the entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 2 - Up 'N' At 'Em, track 3 - West Coast Coolin', and track 6 - What's Going On.

My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 10 - Remember The Time. This is a great track!

NOIR: MaltaJazzFest

Noir is a famous Jazz Band from Malta which was created especially to perform in the Jazz Festival 2006.It comprises of Kris Spiteri, Edward Luss, Mario Borg and Alex Debono. Jazz bands usually consist of a rhythm section and a horn section. During the jazz and swing eras in the mid-twentieth century, the most successful jazz orchestras also empolyed strings and harp in expanded arrangements, but their presence on the bandstand was more for visual impact and not as a key component of the ensemble.

The rhythm section of a jazz band consists of the drums, bass, and usually at least one instrument capable of playing chords, such as a piano or guitar. Large early jazz bands such as Paul Whiteman's employed two pianos and banjo. The rhythm section is the foundation for the band; it sets the feel for the piece.

Noir, The Malteese Band is created for the special purpose of this Jazz Festival 2006 when NNG approached Kris Spiteri and invited him to show his great performance in this grand Jazz event. Alex and Kris had also experience of working onn an Original project , The Last Seven words of Christ ( a musicial and non religious parallelism with the last 7 phrases said by the Jesus on the Cross ).This project was composed by Kris and commissioned by St.James Cavalliors in 2005. Later there was an addition of Edward who was popularly known for his fresh ideas and great enthusiasm with great inclinations of Rock/funk/fusion. Both Alex Debono and Mario Borg had already availed the opportunities of performing in the Jazz Festivals in the past with the Johann Strauss Big Band. Finally, Mario Borg was the best possible choice in the formation of this band of quartet.

Choosing An Electric Guitar: Main Points To Consider

Ask any guitarist, and they will you that nothing comes close to jamming with a guitar. In fact, no other instrument has influenced modern music so much as the guitar, and its ongoing popularity is reflect in its ubiquitous appearance in bands, radio stations and music videos throughout the world. Certainly one of the coolest instruments, the guitar is synonymous with contemporary pop and rock music. That said, no guitar is more symbolic of rock music than the electric guitar.

Whether you are an expert or a mere learner, getting a new electric guitar is a thrill. Perhaps you have only ever played an acoustic guitar, and want to branch out? Maybe you are simply learning guitar from scratch? Whatever your reasons, buying an electric guitar means you will be able to play searing riffs and haunting melodies like you have never experienced with any other instrument.

There are a number of things to decide upon when choosing an electric guitar.

The first decision you need to make is what body shape you want your guitar to be. To date, the most popular guitar shape is the solid-body Les Paul shape. You can also opt for the SG Style, which has a thinner double cut-away body. Other most common shapes are the Stratocaster and Telecaster.

Once you have chosen the shape of your guitar, you will need to decide what pick-up you want, either single or humbucker pick up. These refer to the copper wire that is wrapped around the bar magnets. As its name implies, the single pick-up it is composed of one copper wire wrapped in a single coil around a single bar magnet or several rod magnets. The humbucker pick-up, on the other hand, uses two coils which tends to increase the intensity of a guitars sounds.

Choosing the right bridge is another important step. You will need to decide between the stock tremolo, double-locking or Floyd Rose double locking system. Depending on the style, the strings may be positioned differently, looser or tighter, and more or less responsive to your touch.

These are just some of the things you will need to consider when you select your new electric guitar. The choice you ultimately make will vary depending on the sort of music you want to play, as well as your knowledge and level of experience. Your budget will also bear upon your decision, and for those with less money, secondhand guitars are always an option.

Seeking help from friends who play the electrical guitar, or staff at the music store is always invaluable. Once you have the right guitar, your playing will be more enjoyable... and the better for it.

Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin was an English rock band, and is one of the most successful and influential groups in popular music history. Led Zeppelin consisted of four men: Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (lead vocals, harmonica), John Bonham (drums), and John Paul Jones (bass guitar and keyboards).

Formed in 1968, Led Zeppelin were innovators who never lost mainstream appeal. While the band is perhaps best known as pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal, they also drew inspiration from many other musical genres, including blues, rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, folk, pop, Latin and country.

Over 25 years after disbanding in response to drummer John Bonham's death in 1980, Led Zeppelin continue to be held in high regard for their artistic achievements, commercial success, and broad influence. To date, the group is reported to have sold more than 300 million albums worldwide, including 109.5 million sales in the United States.

History:

The early days (1968-1970)

In 1968, while bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones still dominated the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, newer, heavier styles of rock and roll were being played by groups like The Who, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream. In that same year, a new British band, Led Zeppelin, began to form their own distinctly thunderous sound, and would play a critical role in the creation of a new musical genre, hard rock.

The formation/The New Yardbirds

The beginnings of Led Zeppelin can be traced to Jimmy Page, who had joined the rock band The Yardbirds in 1966, to play bass guitar after bassist Paul Samwell-Smith quit the group. Shortly thereafter, Page switched from bass to lead guitar creating a lineup that featured both Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck playing dual lead (Chris Dreja moved from rhythm guitar to take over on bass). Following the departure of Jeff Beck in October 1966, The Yardbirds, tired from constant touring and recording, were beginning to wind down. Page discussed forming a supergroup with himself and Beck on guitar, and The Who's Keith Moon and John Entwistle on drums and bass, respectively. Vocalists Donovan, Steve Winwood and Steve Marriott were also considered for the project. The group never formed, although Page, Beck and Moon did record a song together in 1966, "Beck's Bolero", which is featured on Beck's 1968 album, Truth. The recording session also included bassist John Paul Jones, who told Page that he would be interested in collaborating with him on future projects.

The Yardbirds played their final gig in July 1968, after which vocalist Keith Relf and drummer Jim McCarty left the band, wishing to pursue a shared interest in folk music. However, The Yardbirds were still committed to perform several concerts in Scandinavia, so McCarty and Relf authorised Page and Dreja to use the Yardbirds name to fulfil the band's obligations. Page and Dreja began putting a new line-up together. Page's first choice for lead singer, Terry Reid, declined the offer, but suggested a singer he knew of who played on the Birmingham scene called Robert Plant. Plant accepted the position, and also recommended John Bonham from nearby Redditch who also played regularly in Birmingham bands. Plant and Bonham had recently played in the Band of Joy together. When Dreja opted out of the project to become a photographer (he would later take the photograph that appeared on the back of Led Zeppelin's debut album), John Paul Jones contacted Page about the empty position. Page, being familiar with his credentials, gladly accepted him as the band's new bassist.

The band completed the Scandinavian tour as the New Yardbirds. After some discussion, the name "Led Zeppelin" was chosen as a new name, based upon a name (Lead Zeppelin) that Keith Moon had suggested during his discussions with Page about a possible supergroup. Moon got the name from John Entwistle's term for a bad gig, describing it as "going over" (some sources say "going down") "like a lead zeppelin". The group deliberately dropped the 'a' in Lead at the suggestion of their manager, Peter Grant, to prevent people from pronouncing it as "leed".
